Reams Photo Blog has a new home

In an effort to simplify our URL and increase our SEO (look at those acronyms flying around), Amy and I have moved the blog to www.reamsphoto.com/blog (isn't that easier?). It's still a work in progress, but we're also experimenting with a new look for the blog. Let us know what you think!

Senior Portrait: Megan (preview)

Amy and I had a great time taking Megan's senior portraits on Friday afternoon. We headed over to Presidio Park, which is a great location for pictures. There are lots of trees and greenery to use as portrait backgrounds and beautiful sunset light just pours onto the hills in the park and begs to be used in a photo. There's also a cool "mission-type" building that has cool textured white walls and fun doors to pose for photographs in.
Megan was awesome-so photogenic and willing to pose for pictures as long as Amy and I were willing to keep snapping. We took a ton of portraits-including some that we just love-but I thought that I'd share this photo as a little bit of a teaser of the day. We'll post some other highlights of the portrait session on the blog just as soon as we look through them all!

Year in Review-Abie and Aaron's Wedding Portraits

We were so lucky to have such great locations to photograph Aaron and Abie's bridal portraits. These first couple are in and around a creek near the wedding site that had a beautiful bridge running over the top of it.

I love this photo of Abie and Aaron walking under the bridge. This might be my favorite wedding photo that I've taken.

After spending some time down in the creek and at the bridge, we started back towards the reception site. As we pulled onto the highway, we spotted tall golden grass and decided to take advantage of the light and continue with the bridal portraits.

Family Photo Time

Amy got the chance to take some family photos the other day. Here are some of our favorites:

Amy asked the couples to kiss and the kids in front looked at their parents kissing, looked at each other, and then just went for it. Also, check out the baby-a little suspicious of the whole procedure. Awesome!

This one is easily my favorite photo of the day. The kids have so much character here-I love the ease with which he wraps his arm around her shoulder and the lollipops almost add a sense of absurdity. This photo just makes me happy-I'm pretty sure that you'll see it soon on reamsphoto.com.
